Miss Korina Theodoraki is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon based at Frimley Park Hospital. She specialises in all aspects of vitreoretinal, medical retina and cataract surgery, offering expert care for a wide range of eye conditions. In addition to her surgical work, she also sees general ophthalmology and eye emergency patients.
Korina completed a year-long Locum Consultant position at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (MTW) before taking up her substantive post at Frimley Park Hospital. She is frequently referred the most complex cataract and retinal cases, reflecting her precision, technical expertise, and commitment to excellent outcomes.
She obtained her medical degree from the University of Patras in Greece and later earned an MSc in Biology of Vision at University College London (UCL), graduating with distinction for her research on retinal junction signalling.
Her training took place in the KSS and South Thames regions, including major London teaching hospitals such as King's College Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital, and St George's Hospital. She went on to complete a surgical retinal fellowship at Sussex Eye Hospital in Brighton, where she received the Trainee Excellence Award, and a Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Western Eye Hospital in London.
